Can you guys help me. I've got a 94 front end with composite lights and my friend said I could cut the core support to fit the lights into my 92. I know the holes are 7x5.5, but I'm lost. I'm staring at it and I'm not seeing it. Does anyone have pics of a cut core support or at least a 4runner support?

So your swaping out the regular lights for 4-Runner lights correct?? If so then the headlight holes are different/bigger on the 4-Runner core support. Im planning to do mine this winter & I bought a 4-Runner support, but my buddy who ownes a body shop said you can easily trim out the holes for the bigger headlights & just drill new mounting holes as well too.

haha i was getting ready to post sumthing about the 4 runner front end conversions and how much fabrication was needed how much bigger you would have to cut the original headlights out to fit the four runner head lights in

Do you guys have any pics? Is it easier to just swap the radiator support?

With some guidance from rwmagee90 I cut the passenger side last night. Light fits well. I'm going to clean up the cuts and post pics of doing the other side tonight. Its not that hard and looks like it will line up quite well.

hey man don't be like me take some pics before everything is together so others can see maybe we can get a how-to together and and get it stickied because i know a lot of people are curious about the swap. i was just anxious to get mine back together so i could see how it looked. but on the other hand mine is also my daily so i had to get it back together seeing as how i did it at work and i had to be able to drive it back home.

Teaser Pics. I'm working on the how to. I used 4 runner headlights, grille, fenders, bumper, and corner lights. Semi-stock core support.

that v6 emblem is easy get off just one phillips head screw on the backside of the grille if you decide you want to take it off

It wasn't that bad at all. I'm working on the write-up but I need more pics. I'm going to take it apart again to fix a few things, and take more pictures. Might not be for a week tho because I'm going out of town for work.

I had to cut the passenger side more than the drivers, but my truck was wrecked by previous owner and the core suport is bent up but people will get the general idea.

my non-wrecked core support required a little more cutting than the drivers side

i did it to my truck....i just bought the whole front end of the 4runner core support, fenders, hood, lights, bumper, lights ect. ect. i had a shop remove the old core support and weld the new one on and put the new one on......the core support was the most expensive part.

Thats why I didn't use the core support. Too pricey. Figured I try to see if I could fit it first.

the grille one the 4runner actually sticks out farther than the truck grilles. the truck corners won't work with the 4runner grille either. the are designed to match up the larger grille. it sticks out about 3/4 of an inch farther.
