so....... i thinking of doing a v8 swap, my buddy wreaked his ls lexus. My question is what do i need? i will have the whole car to get parts off of it, here is a small list of what i know i need

hopefully the oil pan on the Lexus is the right sump.
driveline, you want the driveshaft yoke thingy.
manual, you'll order a bellhousing adaptor thingy.

motor/trans/ecu/driveshaft/wiring harness...everything.

 

mass air flow sensor, fuel pump would help also.. Im researching but I think they have variable voltage to change psi so you can try to make the stock go to a fuel cell or run and inline with regualtor.. I'm doing alot of the might as well while mines torn down to do the swap and besides the items you stated I'm really not sure yet if I should have got more off of my parts car...

Is it the ls400? What year? And you'll want all the smog **** too cause the damn Cali laws. You might have to go get it ref'd too. If it's a 97 I could really use the end of the driveshaft tht goes into the rear end

 

well i have the whole car and its a 94 ls 400 and if the ref doesnt let me smog it then track truck time

 

You should do a complete walk through of this. I am interested in doing the swap myself but have no information at all how to do the swap.
