Pull the exhaust pipe off the manifold then pull the trans crossmember & shifter and drop it down. That will let you use about 3' of extension to get up to it easily. :D

I've seen pics somewhere of someone drilling 2 holes thru the firewall and then installing rubber plugs after the work is done....

For reals tho, wobble head 17mm socket or regular short 17mm socket and universal joint on a 2'-3' extension should do the trick.

*Tip: Leave the 2- 17mm bolts on the 3 and 9 o-clock position in until you take off the 2 top ones...

**Advice: If your question doesnt get answered in a couple hours dont get impatient man. Most of us on here are willing to help out whenever we get the chance too... just sayin... :waytogo:

I gots no truck, for now
Dropping the trans crossmember and using a long extension with some sort of wobbler is easiest. I take those 2 out first so you can cheat and spin em out my finger if needed.

dude, I always just use a regular wrench, now that I have ratchet wrenches I will use those, but its simple, I was never able to get a socket on it though...

Dang that is one wasted clutch. I've seen them shredded to ribbons and discs with busted hubs etc heck the last one I pulled was fine other than the pressure plate being blue and purple and the hub of the disc being purple and the springs having zero tension left in them from being over heated to hell due to the kid that owned it adjusting the clutch till it slipped at idle. The flywheel was shattered too, surprised it didn't explode.
