If I could afford his stuff I would have already grabbed it, unfortunately. I was just wondering about them since they're only $50, could slap them on temp. I want to just get lowering springs, but those are $350 for the pair, so gotta wait a long time to save up. I'm gonna give removing a leaf a shot next weekend and if that doesn't work I'll look into blocks temporarily. I just don't want to spend $125 and then $350 later. $50 is more reasonable for something temporary.

But knowing my schedule it'll be October before I get to the leafs, but it's the next step!!!

Installed correctly they will not brake, the ones I had in my red toy were 3" autozone brand, and when I got hit I had the dirt bike in the back and they did not brake or even move at all.

Figures! No Pep Boys near here. There's Autozone and O'Reillys, and from what I've seen before they don't have anything remotely like it. They have to order everything! Small town, I guess.

I could probably check near my house instead of work....

    I beg to differ.

Wheel hop/torque smushed the passenger sides top so it doesnt sit flat anymore.

Works loose every once in a long while.

Yea that's what I've heard, they come loose and that's when you have troubles. I would just install them, drive on 'em for a while and then get back under and tighten them again to be sure. If they're gonna come loose it's gonna be pretty quick. I'd probably check 'em every so often to be safe.

I'm just tired of looking at my truck and wondering why it has that funnycar stance... it's not the 70's, no need for the tail to be in the air like that LOL!!

    $50 for that ebay kit?

Might as well drop the money on Beefed Tacos man, local power go go go!

I myself have the 3" autozone ones from two years ago. They hold up well if you install correctly, like Toy_spd said. I haul ****, I drive the crap out of my truck. surprisingly they're still there.

The ones on my silver toy are 2" autozone brand, and I have hauled and towed with them as well and they are fine, given I have only had them for about 3 months. Ill most likely be towing/hauling to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a night track day, and im sure they will hold up. I know these held up perfectly fine when I had them in my red truck and I towed/hauled gear and bikes to Willow Springs with them. On the way back I took the 5 from SFV to OC and anyone that has driven the 5 knows its not the smoothest road. lol

    But to each their own.

As long you torque them down :)
I make sure all of the u-bolts are holding the axle and leafs in perfect flatness, no gaps. Gotta torque it so it keeps everything together and nothing is loose.

Yeah, the U-bolts will need their legs spread. Do it like Bill Clinton, it'll fit over the axle easily.
