Back when I worked ,I've sat on that pier many times @ lunch with a few beers!!
Your truck looks good by the way! But there's no reason for it to ride bad.
When mine was static dropped it rode very well!2' Belltech dropped front spindles,2" dropped rear springs w/ 2' blocks & a notch kit. Also use shocks for the drop!
If your going to bag it,you will want to get dropped spindles on it if not already there. They will keep the stock suspension qualities, & allow you to get the front where it will need to be!Again keep shocks in the mix!!
You will need to notch the frame @ the rear,I recommend a 8 piece notch as you can get the welds inside on the metal. CanDo's is a very good product.
You will also need a link set up to locate the rear axle, it can be 2,3,4 or 6 links, depending on where & how you want the bags! I recommend you use sleeve type bags @ the rear, will give you a better ride. This advice is what I got from the leaders in Air Ride/ Air Ride Tech.. They have been @ this from 35 years!!
Again CanDo can supply you with what you need,& Steve Nelson is very knowledgeable when it comes to Toyota's !!
    Also Gravity-Werx,FBI, & Suicide Doors,all great shops.
If you need a shop ,Twisted Mini's is up in Winstor. if I can help you in any way ,just ask.

very clean truck. If you are going to bag it I would suggest using slam bags, viair compressors either 380's or 480's, cando arms and 4-link. If you give Steve (cando) a call at (530)533-8680 and let him know Terry told you to call he will set you up with a very reliable bag kit. As far as fab tips I would suggest having someone who has done a couple reliable installs do it for you or help you. If you have some more specific questions hit me up.

I'll tell you my plans to bag mine. Most importantly I would recomend a forward 4link. A reverse will get you low and ride fine, but the handling characteristics are quirky. This is coming from someone who has had both set-ups. I bought a hardbody with a reverse, and I have a chevy with a forward. I also prefer a wishbone upper link , the bushings seem to last longer since the axis of motion of the bushing is parallel to the motion of the axle.

I'm going to go with square lower bars with the bags in a lever position. Probably like 2.5:1 or 3:1 just cause I want wicked lift to play with. Upper will be a wishbone. I'm putting a fuel cell under the back, and then putting my air tank where the gas tank used to be. This should fit fine with the lower bars right inside the frame. Shocks will be on the links also. Front I'm going with regular torsion brackets. I think I'm going to use my DJM lower arms though. I'm planning on engine driven comp, Asco manifold valves, some kind of switchbox. Haven't picked one up yet.

Once you decide your setup if you have any specific questions, let me know. Also if you're looking for a good deal on parts I'm a dealer for Air Ride Technologies and Lowrider Depot.

Well . . . I love my ride, built it myself and love my reverse four link and have some AIM Industries stuff as well! A nice stiff shock setup in the rear and itll lay right down in the dirt and raise up almost 14" in the rear and thats how I ride { LowNLoud } and have experienced no problems whatsoever with mine, not saying that its the best, just saying that there are many suspension setups to choose from, but, if you can and have the chance, take a ride in some different rides and see how it feels to you and how that would affect your choice, kinda like test driving a new car. Probably the best advice that anyone can give you is to do that, anybody can say one suspension is better than the next, but, only you can judge for yourself also try and budget yourself towards a build and figure a tad extra for splurging or troubles cause you will run into some. ( Mind you this was written with no disrespect or harshness towards anyone, anyones opinion, or anyones ride or setup because most anything is better than stock thats why most of us are here ). . .

Speaking of bagging, although I have no desire to do this a lady where I work let her daughter by a 77 El Camino that was bagged - when she found out the car had hydraulics she took it to a mechanic and had him remove it! I bet the guy charged her 2K just to take it off, anyway the whole system is sitting in her garage. I told her I would help her sell it on craigslist but I don't know much about these set-ups either.
