well here is my 89 truck that I recently traded my 95 civic eg, guy added $250 on the deal. Im thinking i got ripped off. But im a mini trucker at heart not a ricer

Its a love hate relationship with this truck. everytime i look at it i get so pissed at the shape its in and how i got ripped off, yet i love the potential that it has.




leaky ass valve cover gasket... fixed it though

freshly steam cleaned.

And thats as far as i've got... A week after getting it i got laid-off from chevron

So here i am, out of work.. truck didnt pass emissions so i cant even register it yet. FML!!

for now its gonna get slammed, and get some decent wheels. Down the road its going to be bagged, i miss my bagged s10 entirely too much.

I kinda want to go with a beat up look for the truck. But i want it to run good haha. and as of now she doesnt run worth a ****.

 

how much would you sell your rims now when you get decent wheels?

have u tried applying for govt assistance to get to pass the emissions test?

 

what do you mean government assistance? whats that entail? i know that you can get the emissions waived but i have to spend $450 on repairs just to do that.

 

those rims you have are gorgeous put on the right tires and clean them up they are choice.

 

lol i just dont see it. dumbass question but how do i crank the torsion bars down? i was thinking of doing that and pulling a leaf, i know the ride quality is gonna suck dick. but lets face it, it aint no damn cadillac

 

To crank the torsions you put it on jackstanda releave the pressure off of them an loosen them an you gain drop

 

Much better with the clean engine. Since you are going to be bagging you could clear everything off the inner fenders next. Shouldn't be hard since you are carbed.

 

so im thinking since my bench seat is tore to hell and i have ugly camo seat covers. haha im gonna chop the headreasts and get a saddle blanket and make a new cover hopefully giving it an old school touch.

 

i would just pay shipping if you plan on giving it away.

 

lol im keeping them for awhile.. just got new tires on them.. anyone have pics of these rims with low profiles on a slammed truck? i may keep them just because im a cheap bastard

still have yet to pass emissions. i was adjusting the valve lash today. While i had the valve cover off I pulled the egr off, and the it was full of crud but not blocked of so i cleaned that and put it back on.

while doing this i noticed i am missing a hose or something yes? look at the picture and tell me whats supposed to go there, its right above the starter if you couldn't tell. anyway help me if you can

 

adjusted the valves, now it sounds like a damn diesel hahah almost like im not getting any oil up into the valvetrain
