msd ignition

    msd ignition 6AL rev limiter. was thinking if i shuld get the selector switch 3.0k-5.2k or 4.6k-6.8k? or do i even need it? does anybody have any info or coments? thanks...

    1983 Toyota SR54x4 Mojave Edition-Black Package Shortbed Sport Truck
    Set your rev limiter at 6.5K and you will be okay if running a 4 cylinder. If running a 6 cylinder set it for 5.5-6.0K. If you rev your truck out alot before shifting then the rev limiter is a good thing. If you don't then you do not need a rev limiter and just do not connect the rev actuating wire to a power source.

    The 22R head wont flow enough air to outrev the bottom end.

    In neutral, yea. But under load, itll die out waay before the motor scatters, from you floating the valves.
