Ok, I bought some g-35 18" wheels and tires for $200 bucks! O do need 2 tires but I wouldn't let them pass me up! How much work will it take to make them fit? Thanks guys!
I'm thinking about painting them, there are a few curb rash spots on the wheels. I want to murder out the truck!
do I do the 1/4'' spacers at all corners or just the rear? and yes, Im pretty sure its a newbie question! lol
I think you have to run all 4 corners cause the center bore tapers so they wont fit snuggly over your dust caps, or be able to put center caps in. Um were is SD Yota he's done this before so has Diontde.
you need 1/4 inch spacers for the front. but the studs are slightly short for this. you will want to buy new rear studs and place them on the front hub. rear studs are longer by 1/4 inch. so it will provide enough bite for your front lug nuts. to make this clear, you are buying new rear studs......... and installing them in the front hubs. rears you only need 1/8" spacers since they do not need to clear a dust cap, only the center hub flange. the center bore on these will clear centric-wise, but not depth wise since the bore on the wheels tapers in for the center caps to fit. if you choose to bore the wheels out, it needs to match the center bore it has but deeper in by 1/4 inch. those are your choices.
So, i just went across the street to a wheel shop and got my spacers for $6.00 a piece! This is all falling together pretty good!
Sweet. Oh just an opinion. Ive seen painted 350Z rims and to me it doesnt look right unless they are powdercoated. For some reason the way the spokes set and such a flat or high gloss coloring makes them look weird, just my 2 cents anyhow. Now if you could polish them that would look sweet.
I'm going with flat black on the entire truck, The wheels themselves are pretty much curbed to hell.. I bought them with the intentions of painting them. I was wondering how a flat black truck would be with gloss black wheels? I'm open to all suggestions!!
