So I hold my ability for figuring out electrical issues higher than most other mechanical aspects of autos. I have a dilema even I cant figure out.

Lately my truck has been running really crappy. It has now started to die if I turn on certain accessories simultaneously. For instance today I started the truck it ran great even after warming up. I drove to work shut it off and went inside, an hour later I left to go pick something up. It ran great and then started running really crappy. At a stop light I turned the radio on, it completly died (lost all power) I got out and pushed it into a parking lot. Fiddled with it a bit mostly made sure my battery connection were tight and then pulled panel off fuse block the second i touched the panel I heard my accessory buzzer come on. It started right up and ran great. HMMMM later this after noon same thing radio on this time then I turned on my lights, died lost all power I opened panel it came back on. I didnt touch any fuses/wiring or such. I got home and pulled all fuses and they are all good, I checked around the fuse block to make sure no wires were frayed and arching against each other and its all good so question is

WHAT THE HELL!!! I cant see how just slightly touching the fuse box could make it work great for a while then it dies again.

Bad ground probably. when the connection sucks, the voltage back-feeds to other systems with a common ground and they essentially lose power. that really sucks but I know how you feel. both my trucks were bought cheap and I fix them up with plenty of electrical issues.

Check all your connections around your fuse box and also your main relay. Remove clean and tighten down every conection you can find nor than likely it'll fix your problem

This one time my truck died on me kinda like this. I thought it was electrical but I ended up crawling underneath the truck to check things out down there. Tutned out I had a leak in my fuel line and it was spraying out onto my frame a maybe my wires as well. The leak was just in front of the gas tank.

my trucks emissions control unit did not work, if connected properly, the truck would not start, it had to be bypassed in order for the truck to work.

I was able to source a emissions control unit and have put it back to factory and now everything works as it should.

make sure your alternator and battery are working correctly and check all your power and ground connections.

If you can reproduce the same results by messing with your fuse block, unbolt it and open the bottom up and check everything out in there.

Yah I've tinkered a bit more and its pretty much like tapping the fuse box is now my key to start the truck. I'm gonna tear box apart in morning maybe just pull the one from my other truck and swap to see if that's doing it
