Both seem to be very comparable, same 7/8' diameter. I took a look at the installation instructions for the ADDCO bar, and it seems straightforward enough.

Any one have any experiences/recommendations with either bar, installation or performance-wise?

I have the Addco on the truck I have now and hate the way it is mounted to the axle.

The Helwig has a much better mounting system. I had it on another truck and it's much better.

I wish I had seen the Addco mount before I bought it.
