those of u who went to the forbin show probably saw this fail just look at the camber in the front the whole front end wiggled like krazy on the fwy lol
the only reason you put big wheels on a truck Toyota Custom Mini Trucks - Construction Zone - Mini Truckin' Magazine
That crap is dumber than a bag of stupid. Lifting a rig just to fit stupid tires and wheels worth easily twice the value of the bucket they are bolted to is the epitome of mental failure.
that depends, in this case hell yes, but now if im lifting a beater 4x4 to go play then I say game on with tires that cost more than the truck
I personally like SOME of them not all. There are a few I've seen on YouTube that are clean as hell. There's one I believe 90s impala or caprice thts on hydros but still donked out and it hops and sh*t. To me it's like us slamming a Toyota and spending lots of money on it and it's not worth tht much but it's worth a fortune to us
I have one problem with donks, I don't like pointless parts. this would include; tv's in the doors, directly behind your head in the front of the headrests, in the very back headrests so the people in the car behind you can watch, under the hood etc. lifting a vehicle to put low profile tires just doesn't make sense. The only positive I can see is better visibility from being so high and of course the ability to fit giant wheels, but it can't go off road, it will make it slow unless you re-gear, it will brake like crap unless you upgrade those too, it will significantly lower your gas mileage, make it hard to get into, wear out steering parts prematurely, and im sure some other things I cant think of right now. //I bet that tahoes running stock brakes.
Alot of people around here run big a$$ rims and install airbags or hydros to raise the car or SUV so they can actually drive around. Ive seen videos where they air out the suspension and the inner fender rests on the tires. Lame if u ask me but if that floats their boat n they have the $$ to waste on parts that render their cars useless then more power To them
A thought a donk is when you put a car on a lifted truck frame/lift the car its self to fit big wheels? Sorry if im wrong. Wouldnt that pic be more of a lifted chevy?
They just lift the cars themselves no swapping frames. Some have good quality work an paint. I can respect anything tht has quality work
