I have a 22re motor that I pulled from a customers car 11 years ago. It came in smoking and the old man insisted it be replaced. when I pulled it apart it had a cracked ring. I have kept it thinking I could use it as a core but it still just sits. It is pulled apart and pick up only I'm in Santa Clarita CA.

 

Im in Santa Clarita.. This is probably a dumb question but its just the core or is it complete to just drop in? Im assuming it still needs a rebuild?

 

I wouldnt mind having it if its more then just a core. Yankee can pic it up for me. HAHAHA thats if he dont take it.

 

its a long block, and from what I could tell perfect running when I pulled it except a cracked ring.

its all taken apart, disassembled.

 

Like you said disassembled but all the parts are there to put back together? All i would need is to deal with the carcked ring?

 

i take the intake and the valve cover. and i will get it tomorrow

Man, come on! Im just asking because if its all there then I will pick it up tomorrow! If its not then I need go elsewhere! I have a 20R already but its missing the basic engine components to get it running. So by me asking I can know what type of work and $ I will be up against. I need something like this great deal to get my project running. If you were in my position and you were this close you would like to know its details. I dont want something sitting around cause i wont be able to use it! Im not frustated just disappointed I have to explain myself on soemone elses thread!

If I was in your position I'd pick it up asap and give Dgerfan the 20r!

 

Ok its a long block, picture ordering one from atk or jasper. No pan No timing cover No valve cover. I got when I pulled it, when I was a mechanic. We ordered a motor from toyota, I removed everything that toyota doesn't put on their long blocks. Remember its free!

 

yankee........ go ahead and pick it up dude. i have a few covers laying around.... there are plenty of pans and valve covers we can pick up from the yards down here.
