For the same reason anyone puts any look like race crap on their cars and trucks either they dont have the money for the real **** or in the case of the beadlock, because beadlocks are not D.O.T legal.

true, they are far from DOT, I dont like the looks of real ones either if I ever get to the point of needing them Id much rather go with some Stauns, that way you get inner AND outter locks without welding on your rims and all those bolts

 

Sorry for getting off topic but I just wanted to point out that if you have the money there are some options these days in D.O.T. approved beadlocks. A google search brought up these for example:
