For the same reason anyone puts any look like race crap on their cars and trucks either they dont have the money for the real **** or in the case of the beadlock, because beadlocks are not D.O.T legal.

true, they are far from DOT, I dont like the looks of real ones either  if I ever get to the point of needing them Id much rather go with some Stauns, that way you get inner AND outter locks without welding on your rims and all those bolts :waytogo:

Sorry for getting off topic but I just wanted to point out that if you have the money there are some options these days in D.O.T. approved beadlocks. A google search brought up these for example:

    http://www.offroadonly.com/products/new/rocklox/

    http://www.high-impact.net/wheels/dot_approved_beadlocks.htm

I believe there are a couple other options out there too, but then, are beadlocks even really illegal? I wonder if Rockstomper is still offering a $200 dollar reward to anyone who can prove they are illegal?

I think the matte finish looks sinister.

Saw this in the wild today. Belong to anyone here? It was in the parking lot of the Pinole Luckys store.

Those are the ones I'm after, only 15x8's. Think I'm going to buy them from Summit.
Hopefully I can secure someone across the border to pick them up and bring them across for me. Apparently shipping is free within the US, but $200 to Canada :doah:, plus brokerage, taxes, etc, etc.

Man we really get the shaft up here. And the dollar is at par/slightly over par.

KalTire in Victoria wants over $600 for a set with center caps, including taxes... and they're only $45 rims per piece in the US. Like... sheeeez!!!
