Ok so I have finally started working on my truck again and this is where i'm at. I've already pulled the bed bolts and some other stuff so thats why the bed is slightly to the right it not normally like that lol. I wrecked the truck about 6-7 years ago and parked it after working on it for a few years and now she gets the proper treatment she deserves! A full rebuild from ground up with some changes. I plan on posting pictures as my progress continues! It doesn't look that bad, but it is trust me.

definitely looks like it has ALOT of potential. Keep on going!

 

Before I wrecked it it was solid primer grey and waiting on a paint job, but then I wrecked it, switch the front cap out from another truck which didn't fit correctly, and well now its time for the complete tear down and rebuild.!

Edit: The truck was bought for my father brand new and was passed to me when he died. So its been a very long road with the truck and will hopefully get done this time!

 

What part of south Louisiana are you from? I'm from Morgan City.

 

The truck is in Prairieville at my moms where I lived until 4 years ago when I moved to Denham Springs.

I'm trying to do the truck in a steady pace so I don't burn myself out because it's soooooo much work! It holds very strong sentimental value so that helps wanting to get it done. I have almost all of the suspension stuff coming in a month or two so have to get the bed, cab, and front cap off so I can do the frame work!

 

Also the truck was originally that red/burgandy color. The blue crap is from an 89 donor truck! I haven't fully decided yet, but the truck will be a very bright red color when it's done!

its got a lot of potential, how bad is the frame?

 

From what I can see of the frame it looks good with the normal rust except for where it ends under the bed. Hopefully I can have it fully torn down in the next week or so and then I can have a more knowledgable opinion on how it looks.

Edit: ignore the hanging neon-tube in the front window lol. Last time this truck was on the road the neon lights were still popular! And yes those are two wasp next by the battery! You should have seen the 50+ wasp next that was behind the gas door!
