Simple transmission question

    Hey, I have a 1977 truck with 5 speed manual transmission in it. The fluid called for is castrol hyphoy, which im pretty sure they dont even make anymore. what's an equivalent fluid that I can run in it?

    90 weight gear oil should be fine

    mmmm u mean Hypoid?
    Gear oil single or multi should be fine.

    manual actually says "hypoy" But thanks for the info! I should have some very pretty pictures of the motor and trans post rebuild in a couple days. =)

    thanks for the snark. however, reading my original post again indicates that I was not looking for where I could buy hypoy, but what the equivalent was, since, again, nobody around here sells it.
