Anyone running air shocks in the rear? If so, what kind and how do you like them? Also best place to buy. I'll be hauling my motorcycle and want to raise the rear when I do so, since I'm planning on going as low as I can in the rear.

I too have the monroe on mine ass well. Bought them at pepboy for $60ish . When I'm not hauling anything I run 5psi then when I get stuff 50-70psi. Well worth the money.

Monroes on mine. technically they aren't for 89-95, they're the previous gen. 1" shorter extension, same compressed length but they don't max out with the stock suspension so I don't worry. 10 psi empty, when loaded I fill them till I'm happy. Got em from RockAuto Auto Parts.

Air shocks are gods gift to mini-trucks

look for the earlier gen. 82-88 or whatever. monroe (don't know about others) doesn't make them for 89-95. the earlier ones are 1" shorter max length, .5" shorter compressed but my (stock) suspension doesn't max them out at full sag so no problem.

I had bought the Gabriel Hi Jackers and then the Monroe MA803 after hearing that the Monroe's are better quality plus limited lifetime warranty on the Monroe's through O'Reily's. So I plan on returning the Gabriel Hi Jackers.

think mine were Monroe, picked them up at the local parts place. RARELY had any air in them and drove around with the ass low, if I pumped them up full it lifted the back enough to give me a little rake

MA803's are the shortest stroke air shock you can get for the rear of these trucks and will fit if you swap out your old bushings to the new shocks. you need to do this since they dont offer the combination of those shocks and bushing type together.

edit, fyi oreilly has the monroe's with lifetime warranty same as auto zone...... the gabriels from auto zone are ok but ive blown through those twice in my 86 when i had it. gabriels are junk in my opinion and when i ran an old used set of monroe's someone gave me, they were still in great shape so... you get what you pay for.

generally, the monroe's run about $80 bucks, the gabriels run about $50
