i think im gonna build a new motor for my 85 xtra cab from scratch over the summer. ill be on a pretty tight budget but ive got tons of time to get the build done. im asking what, in your opinion, would be the best route to go? i was thinking of a 22re 20r head with a custom turbo because of how easy it is to find parts. anyone got any other suggestions?

 

i dont think you can run the 22re block with the 20r head, it has to be an early version of the 22r most likely a carbureated 22r block

 

which would be better? 20r head carb or 22r efi?

 

i have destroyed my toyota by adding a 350

how would i make the tack read right thats in the dash of the truck

 

for 150 picked up you can have my 22re everything related to the engine (including trans) in the engine bay.
Motor needs rebuilt as it has a knock now.

 

if i had the money id gladly jump on that deal, i just dont know if my yota would make the trip
