Rust has eaten threw some of the metal on my frame and I was wondering what people use to stop it from further doing it? I am about to start sanding/priming the frame and then painting it, but need a way to stop the rust from still spreading under the primer/paint.

Any ideas would be greatfully appreciated!

Used por-15 on one side of my leaf springs/plates and going to have to order more to do the other side of them I think.

Anyone know of something that works as good, but can be bought at a parts store??

Look up Loctite Rust Extend. May be able to find it locally.

I was looking at the rustoleum undercoating.... ANyone tried that stuff before?

Por-15 seems great, but would rather something in a spray can.

They brush on stuff goes on way thicker and gives it that much more protection. I used industrial strength enamel something or other I believe was from rustoleum.Brushed it on real thick and you would have to take a hammer to it now. I once used the undercoating spray on my bed and I started flaking off like a month later.

The por-15 is still tacky about 6 hours after putting it on... I want to find something that drys quicker and protects well... I just prefer spray cans so I can spray, put up, and go and don't have to worry about lids sealing shut on me.
