Hey new to the site I've owned my truck for 3 or 4 years well I've decided to start working on the truck frist by rebuilding the drivetrain I'm going with a static drop for now unsure what rims i would like for the truck the engine thats in the truck is a 22re but i know nothing about it it was put in the the truck the last owner(mom) an has allway's had a tic in it so waiting to pull engine befor ordering the rebuilt kit the plan is to put a mild cam in it, a header new exhaust the body is in great shape(no rust) was owned by an old man(bill) RIP an then my grandma then mom an now me the bed has dents but nothing bad sorry for the bad quality pics(cell phone)
The tic is probably the valves hitting the valve cover which would just need adjusting. But welcome to tm
Welcome to the site! Looks like you've got a great truck to get started working on. Lots of potential there!
HOLY CRAP!!! Dude use some periods!!! lol dnt worry il add some real quik .......................................................................................... Anyway, Welcome to TM
Yah man welcome to the site. The 22re is notorious for valve ticking. Should be good with an adjustment/lash maybe replace a few if they are bent. These motors are about as easy to rebuild as a 350 chevy engine very straight forward and if you snag up a haynes or chilton manual it goes step by step with torque specs as well. Pretty much can be done in a day if you dont have to machine anything. Wheels man thats up to you there are a billion out there. Static drop good choice get some drop spindles/ BJ flip/ remove middle leaf (unless you want to haul stuff) get some 3 or 4 in blocks and hangers and your legit.
Thanks for the warm Welcome. Sorry for the no periods i drunk type that out last night at like 2am. I will start a project thread next week when all the cash rolls in an i start work on it.
