Plated the frame and got the rear crossmember installed.

Then moved to the front. Took some measurements, cut the old clip off, narrowed the new one, and slapped it on.

Before narrowing the frame clip I built a fixture between the motor mounts out of scrap to hold them in place. I trimmed a little off each side, and stuck them back in the frame a bit lower so the motor won't be moved up.

Thanks, I tried to make the transition smooth and flow well. Also when doing the bottom plate I used a thicker plate and tapped some holes for a sway bar mount in about the same place as the stock ones since I covered one of them up doing this. Not sure a sway bar will even fit with control arms, a narrowed and Z'd frame, and the motor dropped. But the holes are there in case I want to try later. I figure it can't hurt to put them there while I'm doing all this.

Doesn't hurt anything it's better to have the option now instead of trying to figure it out later

Finished plating the top of the frame transition but forgot a picture. Made a shift knob a while back. And modified the engine crossmember for a little more engine clearance. Also found a picture of when I did the bottom of the transition, I used a thicker plate and tapped it for a sway bar mount. Its near the stock ones (you can see one of the stock holes), but I have no idea if a sway bar will fit.

clean welds on the last two pics. Looks really good. You going to powdercoat them or keep them raw?

Probably just rattle can, at least for now. Trying to get this thing on the road with pretty much no budget right now. Frame stuff wont ever get powdercoated. Too much work/money for this truck. Maybe some of the parts that come off at some point, not sure.

    Thank you

Put the cross member back in. Modified a brand new drag link I've had laying around for years now. And tried to take a picture of the top of the frame transition, but my phone wasn't having it.
