Well, somehow you have to mount them just behind the control arm. It's just akward to make a strong mounting point when the bag is in the original shock location. You need to figure out the location and setup as there is not a specific way to do it. Triangulating your lower arms may help to get a better mount.

i figured it out,, i cut the upper shock mount down, welded it on right behind the upper arm, then cut a hole in the lower a arm with a torch, cleaned it up and put the lower bolt in, tightened that lower bolt about half of the threads, then put it on a slight angle to match the upper mounts angle,, and welded it on like a mother F'er!! works great, i also redid my back shocks from how they were on before,,

i mounted mine off the lower control arm to the top part of adjacent frame there... i would recomend while mocking up lay a 2x4 flat on the ground then lay the truck out on it tack then check for travel so the shock wont stop the truck from having its full travel

Um. Pics? I've considered adding them to the front of mine, but frankly it rides pretty good. The Slam bags seem to have a decent amount of damping capability.

What bags are you guys running? And what are you running for LCA's?

I am running Slam bags up front. But I don't think I want to mess with my Cando lowers by drilling holes in them and such. They are just too nice!
Pics would be great you guys! I once was searching for front shock pics for our trucks and I only found 1 or 2 good pics I think.
I was kinda thinking of getting a tig welded shock bracket or bolt on the cando lowers of mine and making a shock hoop welded to the side of the frame for the upper shock mount. I was just eyeballing it the other day and the firewall looks kinda close to where I would need to put the upper shock hoop. Might have to make my tubs even bigger:evil:

Thanks Man, That's what I had in mind, just like to see someone else has done it.

Did it limit your turning radius at all?
