So, I've been into vintage japanese cars for quite a while now and have an ae86 that I'm working on. I've always liked these yota trucks and decided to grab one for a daily.

I'm really into the complete old school japanese look with small wide wheels, clean oem styling, and low low low!

Here's the truck when I first got it. Completely stock with 105k miles.

And here is why I wanted something rwd for a daily :D

And finally I lowered it. 3" blocks rear and flipped BJ with washers and cranked torsion bars front. (About 4" or so)

It's still not nearly low enough for my liking but this will do for now. I'm planning to put wide ass wheels on it so I want to see where those are then decide how much to lower it from there...

Oh and just in case you guys dig other older toyotas, here's my ae86 that I'm working on!

    Thats a 13x9 wheel, -23 offset, with a 185/60 on it ;)

It will be going much much lower if I can ever find the funds... lol

Build thread on the Corolla???. I have a 4door 83 corolla stock on some 14inch supra wheels. I love the oldschool 13s/14s/15s jdm wheels.

Both the LoLux and the CYN haha.

I have a build thread somewhere on club4ag but its not very detailed. And thats sick, I've always wanted a te72 corolla 4 door like that. And hell yeah about eh oldschool jdm wheels haha. The ones on the corolla are SSR mk2. They are the old style ones too, that were never imported to the US. Got them off yahoojapan and shipped them here. I'm pretty confident that they are the only 13x9 mk2's in the states :D

edit: I just noticed you're in SC. I live in Asheville NC when I'm not going to school in Raleigh haha

awesome man, id take a trip to asheville to check out your rides, its really not that bad of a drive. I have a few ffriends that are into that old school jdm style, not the ricer drifter jdm style lol.

Yea honestly I think the 2 door E70 corollas dont look good, but I love the 4door.

you got some nice rides dogg. The truck does need to be dumped more, but it looks clean. I like the white integra with type r front end in the background too.

Thanks! And haha I do agree man, 60's/70's is true old school, not 80's. I guess I'm more or less referring to how kids nowadays take older cars and slap huge wheels on them (mostly people into drifting) and I just prefer the older style of modding, with small wheels and stuff.

This is kinda my interpretation of old school modding style. All stock body (just a front lip) and just slammed on smaller, very wide wheels.

and now days, people do more like this:

75 corolla?!?! a peanut te27?? thats dope man. I would love to have one of those. My real quest though, is although I'm a toyota man at heart, I would KILL for a vintage nissan sunny. truck or car, I don't care. I love those tiny little 1.2 liter motors. You can twin carb them all day with ease! haha

a 75 corolla is a e30, I was about to drive 4 hours to buy a car a "74 corolla" and it ended up being a 75... I was crushed. I do like the e30 4door models. but the 1970-74s corollas is what I would kill for.

Toyota starlets come with 1.1 and 1.3 liters, pushrod. I want one of those bad too.

cool corolla's, I would have picked up the 75. The 75 is the only 75 hard to get. Diff tail lights. Had a 74 and I really miss it.
Heres my 85 gts before I killed it.
