i have rims that poke out from the wheel well (about 1.5 inch out) and its cutting my tires somewhat..any way to add a fender flare or roll it relatively cheap?

I think you could rent a fender roller from autozone

1.5" is a lot to roll a fender IMO.

that baseball bat idea sounds interesting..mind explaining a little more?
and there is a local guy who is doing the fender rolling for $30 a fender..sounds a bit steep.

Raff: great idea..where could i get some of those rear flares? and could they be mounted in the front as well?

    Just get the bat.
put it ontop the tire/in the gap
    push down on it
roll along the top of the tire
give more leverage as you roll for more of a pull

And $30 is for rolling fenders or for a roll and pull?

Ive rolled lots and you will never get 1.5 inches of roll and strech from a fender with a without having waves and if you have any dents near the fenders you can crease the fender... 30 is a bit high there is a guy who does them around here for like 15 a fender. Hell you can buy the tool for like 200

yeah 4x4 fenders are the way to go. you can probably find the rears by looking for someone parting out a 79-83 4x4, or check your local salvage yard.

i rolled and pulled my fenders on my 73 about 1/2" to help clearance up front, and it's causing the fender/door gap to open up.

i tried the baseball bat method on my 88 4x4, and found that the way the bedsides are made in 3 pieces makes it hard, because the pinch welded areas don't bend very easy. it looked like crap. i personally like to use a hammer and dolly to roll the lip.
