so thinkin about about front bagging my 74 ... the question would be where and how to mount the shock on the front (even if i could find bags that would fit) any suggestions/opinions/do's and dont's (got pics ?) ..... rear would be air shocks with blocks

The front of those is similar to an S10, as far as looks. Bag goes in the spring pocket, and it needs to be cut for room. And the shock goes on the outside of the control arm, opposite your steering.

Hey Bud, I have a 76 Almost Identical, with some minor differances. As I have been looking around the web I have saved the different site links so I can refer back to them.

Here is a link to my reasearch thread with links to Burnya's, Twisted minis, a guy on the s10 forums who did an awsome build thread and the guy is a good Meatle worker too.

    Enjoy.

thanks for the advice guys (awesome thread on the S10), my guy here, at Forjworks, Forjworks.com is concerned that if i continue to run the stock rims (which i am pretty sure i am) it will hit the front shock with current offset , might be straight bagged no front shock.. just a little bit bouncy ? bad idea ? researching bags to drop in with current cups with out cutting.... hopefully the theory of the 83-97 Mighty Max thread by Seventy6Celica applies

are there going to be any old mini trucks left that have not had there springs and driveabilty torched out and replaced with balloons and gizmo's. and transformed into some kind of homeboy pimp mobile a guy could hardly drive without blushing.

It's not a "homeboy pimp mobile" it's a way to get lower with saving your back from not bein static an a sh*tty ride quality. An you have the choice of riden at different ride heights makes going in an out of driveways an over speed bumps so much easier. An there are still lots of trucks tht haven't been cut up not alot of ppl do this cause they can't afford/ no skills to do it. I don't blush every time I drive my truck. I get alot of complaments especially from the old guys.

I am doing just a static drop as low as I want, it doesnt have the good drivablity as a bagged truck, its not my DD either, but im just doing that because im into fast cars and this truck is just a side project and im not dumping money into lowering it, i just have cut xterra springs and blocks. I have nothing against bagging, I just dont want them.

wow... to be honest i didnt expect that, everybody has got a right to there own opinion, I want to see my truck lowered.. and i need to adjust the height to make it in to the garage, so bags seem to be my best option, I am looking for bags to drop-in with no cutting., if theres none , it aint gonna happen.. so we will see

Haha I need to make sure I dont lower mine so much I cant make it in my driveway, its gravel and pretty rough and somewhat steep for a lowered vehicle. Bags are awesome when you lay frame or whatever they call it. Always wanted a mazda on bags.

honestly you're not gunna find a bag to fit the stock pocket without any cutting. even a re5 will need some trimming.

even running hydraulics will require some cutting, and thats about as small of a diameter you can get.

you cant run those in the front, the fronts need to have the traditional style cause of the swing of the control arms. Those bags need perfectly verticle travel or else they get all bound up and fold on themselves.

i personally like slams cause they are so stiff. RE-7 Slam Specialties Air Bag 200psi Single 1/2" Port

people have had problems with them as of latley cause of a bad batch or rubber, but the lifetime warranty and their badass customer service has kept me a returning customer for life
