so hey whats up y'all . allright I was sittin at the bar talkin to a dude on our dart team about how i just sold my ranger 4x4(this was back in dec) I was sayin that i almost feel sick not havin a truck anymore , and that a new truck is like 30 g's :eyecrazy:. so he says I can save ya some money I got a TOYOTA 4x4 in my garage and my wife says i got too many projects so this one has to go are you interested.. you know i have always wanted a small 4cyl truck that was a 4x4 like this or a luv lol. so i says to him YES!!I haven't picked it up yet but i have looked at it briefly . body looks good enough , engine needs to be replaced or at least the head does so i am told . it is a 22r 5 speed 4x4 . it hasn't ran in 8 YEARS !!!!!! lol. bought it for $350 well havn't paid him yet but i will soon . so i joined this forum as i do for any vehicle i own . currently driving a 2009 avenger . Now here is the big question do i wanna just fix the 22r or drop in a chevy 327 (the block is in my shed and it is calling to me) man the easiest route would be to just fix the 22r but wouldn't a v8 be fun .

welcome, nice to see some one else in the area. If you need local help, advise, parts, what ever, hit me up via pm. I pretty well versed in the 2wd's and more so on the 4x4's. Where you at in the lou?

I kept the 22re in my old rig and wheeled it for years. Reliable and cheap on gas. The big motor would be fun but usually turns out to be more problems than what it's worth. If you need a used motor or parts for the 22re let me know. We need pics of this truck. What year is it? If you have questions on lifts for the truck let me know as well. I'm right down 170 from you at Ladue road.

get the 22r running and try her out off road. Then you can get conversion stuff together to swap in the future. Congrats on the truck great buy.
