I have just purchased a 1967 stout and it is a complete running truck lots of surface rust,no dents,I need a little advice about carbs and would love to find people with common passion for this rare truck
well what do you need to know about them?? What carbs are compatible, how to rebuild, who sells aftermarket upgrades????? Nice find though I love them oldschool yotas
I only paid 325 for it could you provide me with any of the info you mentioned,My carb flaps wont open right and they choke it out
I dont know if i responded could you please tell me about after market stuff and carb rebuild or compatible for 67 stout
oh man if your flaps are stuck then Id clean it first then if you cant get it to go then rebuild it. Garage door guy posted above that carb faq post its legit and tells you a bit. Im sure a couple of the stout guys will be responding shortly as well. I know Weber makes a good kit or new carbs. If you've ever rebuilt a carb before its pretty easy just make sure when you take it apart you dont loose any springs LOL done that before. ANYWAY back to your problem is it plain old stuck or does the butterfly not fully open as far as the linkage should go cause maybe the linkage needs adjusted, maybe the butterfly is just sticky spray it down with some wd40 or brakeclean, Ill rack my brain a bit and get back to you.
