You already know I lost my valance and exhaust hanger. LEAST of my worries as of LAST NIGHT. I was driving southbound and switched from right to left lane. Hard visibility, sealed beams, car behind you. You usually can't see dark **** in between lanes, like on the lines. When I'm already halfway through the lane change... I hit something. I looked in my mirrors... it was low, hard, and black. I believe I hit a cinderblock. didn't reallly seem to affect my truck. til 3 seconds later, CEL, loud leak, and just pissed off me. I checked my truck.... BROKEN o2 sensor, DENTED catalytic converter, and dented and gouged exhaust pipe. Magnaflow seemed to escape MOST damage i believe. Anyway, I NEED your guys help. I'd like to know what o2 sensors can we use on our trucks that interchange from other cars. what cars share a same sensor like our trucks do. anything like that. I just need an o2 sensor. What brand of o2 sensor did our trucks come with? things like that. I'd appreciate it alot. Also, for those guys that went from 22RE to 22R, do you guys have your old o2 sensors? I'll be glad to take them off your hands. Get a small box, I'll be more than glad to pay for shipping. I'm sorry if I make it a big deal.... It's just been a really bad week you know?
Sucky man! Ill keep my ears open, I was told though to not use universal sensor and most parts places want about $80 or more for a new one. I'm going to junk yard Monday ill see if I can snag one
if you go to the Schmucks Orighty web site there is a tab that says compatibility.. Bosch 15728 - Oxygen Sensor | O'Reilly Auto Parts there is where you can see what vehicles it fits as well.
I just need something that works as well as the OEM component did for 180k. And thanks for the part # man, but I did reading and BOSCH won't cut it. They make pretty great quality products, but their o2 sensors are slightly shorter, so that causes running issues. I appreciate the effort guys, a whole lot. I'm gunna drop the exhaust system and take a pic of the damage for you guys. Anyone else know any other vehicles that i can use a sensor from? thanks TM for helping!
I would just spend the cash and buy a brand new Toyota sensor...esp if I wanted another 180k miles out of it.
OEM is denso, i got mine on amazon really cheap, i dont remember how much exactly but i'm thinking it was around $50...the 02 sensors have many different part numbers for different trucks i wouldnt waste money trying one thats not meant for your truck it may cause some problems..i don't know if i still have my old one but if i do and i find it you can have it
as mentioned, rockauto is gonna have the best price on an o2 sensor, for one of my cars i priced the other day, the denso p/n at autozone was 137, while on rock auto it was about 39 bucks, even if i paid for over night shipping, i would only be about 75 bucks or so, still over 50 dollars less than the parts houses.
Yeah, I'm gunna get it online. Toyota and CarQuest wanted..... get this. $142. AND THEY BOTH HAVE TO SHIP IT. So just it somewhere else and order right? I went to two junk yards, found absolutely nothing beneficial to my truck, except for a few pieces. Only paid a $2 entry fee. The first place I got emblems off a Toyota Camry V6. So i got the Toyota emblem and V6 badge. Thought it was cool. I took an o2 sensor from a 5S-FE Celica, I figured i could use it on my sister's 4cyl Camry. I took two 5spd shift knobs off some car. I can't remember exactly. I remember one came from a early 90's Celica and maybe Supra, I forgot. The Supra mk3 had dirty spindles, would love to have those. It also had the 5spd 7MGE transmission. most parts are on it. I put the parts in my tool box, lol no questions asked? Next place up north of town I just tossed parts over the fence lol. Place was bad, didn't matter since half the **** is already gone. The Toyota pickups didn't have much. At all. I got a crossmember from the front which mine bent from the hydrant, 4wheel caps, two old toyota oil caps, one was broken. the other one came from a 20R Celica. I fell in love touching that car, I even sat inside of it. it was manual. still had the 20R of course. it was in pretty decent shape, cept torn apart a bit inside and vandalized. I might go back for that car, who knows. I also found a 1970's or 60's Toyota Cressida... that was a beauty! I took the front emblem and oil cap from it. and some sensor from behind the emblem. idk why there was a sensor in the grille. tiny piece. and a fuel door from a 1984-88 toyota pickup 2wd. Im gunna give it to my friend with a 4runner. I was about to pull a front diff from a 89-95 4wd truck (90% of it was gone!) That was my adventure for 3hrs today.
