Has anyone ever put the 4 runner cover in their truck ? It has a little light on the right side of the cover.I would imagine it is aimed for the ignition but not real sure.It has two wires coming off it as well.

 

I always thought that was part of the SR5 option.

 

I have one on my truck, I don't have the light wired up though.

How is it wired up ? Is it set to the door opening ? I'd like to know.

I just picked one up at action mini truck dismantling. But there's no plug to hook it up to on my 89

 

They only were for the sr5 and the runners. You can cut the pung out off a runner and wire it in. It runs in the same line as the dome light. So when you open the door it will light up the ignition.

 

They also have a glove box light and a ash tray light to all of witch I have in my truck

 

all this stuff can be pulled from 4runners also. I see these little lights in the j/y a lot. Glove box, maplights, ash tray lights, cigarette lighter, and I think rear view mirrors
