I have a dented hood that is creased and needs to be replaced. Is there anywhere you would suggest purchasing one or is a salvage yard the best bet. I also need some information on how to flip ball joints and how much it will lower the front end. I also need information on removing a leaf from the leaf springs. I plan on removing one for now then i will replace them with lowering leaf springs when I have money. Last question, where would you suggest purchasing drop spindles and lowering blocks, and do they make 3 inch drop spindles?
You could try the dealer if you want OEM or there are hundreds of aftermarket parts suppliers online. A salvage yard would be good because it would save you shipping....if you can find one with a hood. There are many posts on here about a fiberglass hood....search for it. There is a good thread on flipping ball joints on here as well. search is your friend. I did mine and would estimate that I got about 3/4 - 1" of drop. I did not use spacers. With the u-bolts removed, there is an alignment bolt holding the spring pack together. You need to take that bolt out and pry the "clamps" apart and the pack will fall apart. Put that bolt back in though because it is what aligns the pack with the blocks and/or shock plate together. I pulled my middle leaf and am happy with it but many people say not to as it makes it almost useless as a hauler of anything. Don't run without the overload spring (the short steel piece that looks like a half of a spring). Also, don't reuse u-bolts ever. I got mine from Truck Accessories | Pickup Truck Accessories & Truck Performance Parts | Stylin' Trucks. They only make 2" drop spindles as far as I know. Those and a ball joint flip work well together and then you can crank down the torsions for more drop as you wish.
Thanks for the info i will search for the threads for the hood and the ball joint flip. I tried searching other items and nothing ever comes up. I will try harder. I am hoping I can drop my truck around 4 inches this weekend. I wish it would get above 10 degrees too.

I think for spindles the biggest is 2", lower control arms is 3". I would suggest these over cranking torsions, you still retain some of your factor ride and get low. For your hood i would say junk yard would be your best and cheapest way. The ball joint flip will drop it some. People say about 1" drop, but i dunno, it only drops it the amount of that piece that gets flipped. Go for it though.
Yeah i think my best bet is the salvage yard. I do not need a fiberglass hood right now. Maybe if i go further on my truck then i plan then i will go fiberglass.
So one more question about my hood. Since i have the front body clip on my truck and have no clue who did it or why, do i need a toyota pickup hood or a 4runner hood?
I believe they are the same. More than likely whoever did the light conversion only did the grille and headlights and maybe the corner lights....the 4x4 fenders should be the same too.
Everything I did. My hood was $60 at a pick and pull. Flip joint is easy, need two jacks. One under arm, one under frame. Use necessary jackstands. Same for rear axle.
Only differences from 4runners and pickups are grilles, bumpers valances, and corner lights. All hoods 89-95 interchange, same for fenders.
