I've always loved mini trucks, the first magazine I bought was Minitruckin'. I used to draw pictures and design my dream truck in my head. One day i saw a VW magazine and it was over, I fell in love. I've had over 20 air-cooled VW's and still have my first, a 68 bus. Recently I decided to start looking for an older japanese truck to have some fun with. I told my dad that I liked them and he was off looking. I few weeks go by and he says "check out this Toyota I found on eBay, should I bid?" "Yeah that things cool! I first saw one of those a few years ago and loved it." He won the truck and my brother an I went to go pick it up, a 1966 Stout. That is how I found this website, looking for pics and ideas for the Stout, unfortunately no pictures of it. I'ts in really good non-running condition and will get its turn soon. A few months later and dad's calling to ask if he should buy an 87 pickup from craigslist. I say low milage, low price, yes buy it. It's really clean and completely original. 115k, regular cab, shortbed, 5-speed, blue on blue. soon I'll be driving that truck and I have been getting ideas for that one too. Build threads on both trucks coming soon.
Here ya go, I started a thread for the 87. http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/build-up-project-threads-23/dads-87-a-8382/#post100483

The Stout was sold off a few months ago, we just didn't have time to get it done with the other projects going. Funny thing, the guy who bought it also bought an Opel GT from my brother about ten years ago. My brother recognized his voice from all those years ago.
