It may not look bad but it rained all night so it was straight ice under the snow. going down hill weeeeeeee fuk! there is about a 100 ft drop off the side of that guard rail yeah my exit random gauge pic. why the fuk am i taking pics for you guys when im scared outta my gourd lmao.
But i know it has to piss people off who are crashed on the side of the road in their "indestructible" 4x4's & i cruise by in my slammed mini.
I really hope that stuff hits us tonight!! I got studded snow tires, I'm ready! I laugh at all the poeple up here with their 4x4's sliding around and to a stop and here I am in my mini just scootin along. 4x4's don't help you stop any better, just help you go easier.
Ok Dave then you can get me and drive me to work in the morning cause I don't got fancy studded tires
I highly doubt we'll get anything anyways. The rain yesterday was supposed to be snow. The hills look good though.
Just got back from my snow trip in my moms civic... got it stuck in the parking lot onces but I pushed it out myself so it wasnt bad.. we got 9 inches in north carolina. Nice pics though, I now know what you mean by the ice lol.
**** yea glad I'm in Texas enjoying the nice weather. Ill be back Sunday though hope the roads aren't ****ty
i always go to the snow in my mini, all my friends have 4wd and they say how im going to get stuck but i mob right though i think its because i feel safer to the closer i am to the ground
How's the truck do in the snow with the snow tires? Cus I was going to get some for with I go snow boarding
Wish I had some on my truck, Ice all over the roads here and it's about 25ยบ outside... felt like I was ice skating home last night in my xB....
I have studded snow tires and mine does pretty well, but we have more ice than snow. I have 140 lbs. of sand along with my bedbox, though. And I just drive when I need to and only in town.
+1 my secret to driving in winter conditions is to drive slow, drive steady, always know your grip and slip, and brake early. Braking early is my habit, so it helps alot. I'm not sure how it works when I have a heavy right foot
yea, my 90 cressida out accelerates and out turns 4x4s. NICE snow tires, 5 speed, and old old LSD. till it's up to the bumper and acts like a plow anyway. Funny how 75% of the vehicles I've seen in ditches are 4x4. 24% of the rest are FWD. Stupid people don't know that regular pickup/SUV 4x4 makes you turn worse because of different turning radii. Unless, of course, you really get on it and 4w drift but most people can't even drive straight here in America.
/\ they are prbably just a white face gauge might be able to buy offline if you look for them. I know there are a few places that can make them out of vinyl like Kinkos just take your old ones in and they scan them and make them from the thick vinyl stuff.
include added weight. only thing a 4WD can do better than a 2WD in snow is just get traction to all wheels. 4WD doesn't make you stop faster than a 2WD.
Really? that is cool I will look into that. I am sick of the cold weather I feel like I can never get anything done.
