do not get work done at pep boys....

this is what i received back from a "technician" at pep boys after i sent my upper arms in with bushings in place to have them "pressed" in. from the looks of it, he took a hammer, a vice and a big fing hammer to this arm and totaled it. the arm is unusable at this point. note the paint chipping at the ball joint mounting surface. also, note the bushing tweaked to hell and the one stem of the arm bent so far out of place it no longer aligns with the cross shaft and now binds up in rotation.

i will be going back there to talk to the service manager but i dont think it will get me anywhere. oh well........ lesson learned. all i can do is warn you guys.

That blows! I would have to raise hell until they make it right if I were you! I am amazed. I have never seen such shoddy mechanic work done by so called "professionals". Don't Pep Boys workers have to be certified?

Same with Wal Mart and batteries. I told my grandfather to have me install a new one for him in his 1991 Stealth Twin Turbo, he goes to pick it up in an hour, only to find them cleaning up gear oil and pushing it into the parking lot. F***ers dropped a wrench inside, destroyed the transaxle. At least they're footing the bill for a new one.
