Posted my 4wd for sale. Sold to the first guy who came to look at it. Found my next truck. Yay for Craigslist.
Adjusted my clutch out a bit, now it doesn't grab right off the floor anymore. Put some new pedal pads on, my feet were slipping off the pedals. Then i drove it to work.
Let the wife take it to work, she loves the looks she gets. I told just wait til its bagged, THEN you'll get some looks.
Got myself a shift knob off a tercel thats waaaaaaay better than the little black golf ball that my truck came with and finally took my gf to a picknpull for a romantic date in the rain soaked mud, overcast afternoon sky, and cold freakin day haha
^^^ When I was dating my wife back in the day we ended up at a junk yard our 2nd date. I made her pull a rearview mirror for my bronco cause she broke it.
Went back to the drawing board. My 94 which I rebuilt a month ago started acting real funny, ended up blowing through my intake mani gasket. I got that all fixed and replaced my plug wires which were new but cracked boot on 2 of them and it still runs like crap. So I did a few things played with my dist had it advanced all the way and it runs good but its not supposed to be fully advanced. Also when taking my dipstick out or oil cap off it dies so this is telling me I got some major pressure in my head and most likely getting blow by somewhere. Im gonna relash my valves, make sure my timing is set and see if that helps, if not then I guess Im pulling the head and checking all my rings again!!!! I really hate this truck.
rolled the lips on the wheelwells on the bed. and cranked up 1 torsion bar to level the dam thing out
Maybe not but atleast you know I'm picky bout how my ride runs and don't like to keep secrets from potential. Buyers
Did my 5000miles interval oil change. Using Pennzoil PLATINUM 5w-30 and the Purolator PUREOne PL30001 filter. Oil wasn't that bad compared to say, 3,000miles. So pretty good. Backing it down to 3,000 though. Before I changed oil, I got home from driving, misted some water into the intake to steam out carbon. Truck idles better pre oil change. After all of that, truck is smooth. Btw, my oil filters are bitches to remove.
redid my timing cover gasket, oil change, new fuel pump already, gunna do my interior tonight, so I pulled my timing cover off of my motor start to finish in about 25 minutes with my new impact and air ratchet : ) it was awesome...anyways gunna go run it around the block a few more times and if all is good im gunna put tag and insurance tomorrow.. my friends truck is down so im letting him drive it for a month or so.. he paid for everything today, gunna pay 85 for the tag and 200 of the insurance so after I get it back its all paid for a year and im only in the hole 120 for the downpayment on my new policy!... also he works at a shop so hes gunna do new brakes rotors calipers and pads.. gunna powder coat my rims at his uncles shop and do the carpet at his other uncles shop and when its all done hes gunna give it back and tell them I repoed it so they dont think he just used them to do my stuff haha...
removed the manual steering box, misc front end parts, and the last brake and fuel line and that pesky e brake cable. time for some real work to begin
so had a pretty nice day so i cut a hole in the hood for the scoop mounted the mirrors and put the steering shaft on still need to do some work to fit it properly
cruised outta town to eat with my local forum at least 30+mph wind from the north, truck was all over highway, good thing its lowered ate at a local small runway's restaurant, good diner food! on the way home, encountered a tough resistance called *bleep* traffic. saw that a whole two blocks was stuck, so i went into left turn lane to do a U-turn as i did my legal u-turn, it became illegal.... idk how the rear end kicked out, but from the other POV, it looked pretty badass
