sounds interesting, id be like a sport runner oh yeah i forgot i got a weber 32/36 for 50 bucks, i just got to convert it from jeep use to toyota. well im off to go try and get these panels from this guy but may hit up the junkyard before hand.
ok that corolla on the 1st page was my beater, i sold it for way more than i paid for it but still wish i had that car. It was replaced by a 94 celica coupe. the 4runner i got to use the 22rte for my celica and anything else i could on the truck, i ended up selling alot of parts and selling the shell to a guy that exports toyotas to hati. so now i have the beater celica, my project 85 celica, and this truck how do i get good deals, im really good at getting a price down, plus ebay and craigslist seem to be doing me well lately. i got the panels today, i didnt get that great of a deal but i wanted em, 50 dollars plus my old vinal ones. Now ill go on ebay and order chrome window cranks to go with em.
well i just got this off ebay for less than 40 bucks in all. and these now i have the correct adapter for my 32/36, and the window cranks ive been serching for. They are for a 1st generaration celica but all toyota cranks are the same size and spline.

ok so, the "new" engine is in eveything is bolted up except for the exaust, driveshaft, and the bottom trans mount bolts. the wiring is all hooked up except for the starter trans and oil pressure not much left heres what ill aquire for the motor LCE egr block off plates or make some 160 degree thermostat and seal vac hose caps and hose grommet for vavle cover pcv cheap 10w30 and filter (installed cam and checked bearings so there a bit of assembly lube in the motor) run a tac wire for my sr5 cluster get fuel injection factory air pump block off plates lower radiator hose hoses to trans hard lines re-attach driveshaft find a factory exaust heat sheild rest of the truck brake wheel cylinders front pads and rotors, tacoma or 4runner 2wd auto shifter assembly, the one i got is backward valvoline synthetic brake fluid that should get me to running/driving spec
sounds grumpy, havent driven the truck yet due to i need brakes, and a shifter linkage or a floor shifter engine revs up quick too, which is impressive because its running on 2 year old gas and a can of berrymans b12. soon as i get paid im going to get the brake parts and hit up the junkyard for the linkage or the shifter oh and the a/c still blows cold
brake parts came, i may have found a way to make that floor shifter work. i found a weber 32/36 i forgot i bought a few months back i may try as well, would be nice if it works good cause it only cost me 36 bucks off of a running truck, ill just have to run a choke cable as it has a manual choke
