ya gimme a minute with mspaint..i show you

edit: ok looking at another pic there is more meat holding the sping pocket ( where your bag is mounted to the frame in front ) then i thought there was, it was a werid angle where i thought you didnt have much holding the pocket to the frame.

the angle the bag hits the lower control arm though is a huge problem, you will wear a hole in the side of the bag pretty quickly, and very quickly if you are driving low since the bag wont be fully inflated to clear the arm. The way to fix this is kinda complex though. you need to cut the whole spring pocket off, and weld a bag mount like you have in the rear for the upper mount in front, angleing it up so the bag colapses flat and not all crunched to one side like it is now. ill try to find a pic for you somewhere.

ok here is a pic of what im talking about..its a horrible example cause his bag is still rubbing stuff but you get the idea of the mount and the angle it needs to be in relation to the lower arm when its colapsed. These double couvoluted bags can be at werid angles when they are expanded, but laid out they need to be straight up and down or else bad bad things happen to em

Thanks for the compliments.. after i got it bagged as u guys saw.. i had to change a few things.. it is a lot better now!, the back doesnt get nearly as much lift as the front but its plenty to drive it.. I want it body dropped now but now im thinkin about selling it.. i dont know what wrong with me lol.. it rides ok..probably would ride better with a cantilever set up in the back i think.. idk it rides like a truck.. its got all new brakes and the drive shaft was balanced after i replaced all the u joints.. it was horrible before that! i need to adjust the brakes and paint it a lil better.. paint job looks like ass up close.. I am thrilled with the black tho.. i didnt want to do it black cuz thats what everyone does.. but i think it looks awesome black.. if i had to do it again, i would def do a four link in the back maybe still a bag over but atleast a four link.. and if it gets body dropped i think the back will tuck a lug nut maybe the front to :) that would be sick!! but like i said i might sell it now idk.. i wanna build a 30's rat rod from the ground up

Don't sell it. And what kinda body drop? There's traditional which you cut the floor out an raise it up an weld it back together then there's stock floor which you build a new frame under the cab an don't lose head room. Look on street source there's a how to on a traditional body drop.
A 4 link with bag on axle you'd get your lift back that you lost an it would ride better that's what I have and it's alot smoother than a bag over axle.

Yea i know its on mautofied, no one ever has good **** on their any way, so not like its really gonna sell.. lol.. i am very conflicted with it.. i love it and hate it at the same time.. Im gonna have more into it then i know its worth, but i wanna see it done like i want it first too.. Idk!!!! i wanna do a traditional body drop.. i can lower it 5 inches and make it up in the seats so i wont loose head room, but i only need to go down about 3.5 inches anyway Im confused on what to do with the firewall tho.. i understand the back and the bed and the sides.. but im tryin to not pull the motor jus to do a body drop.. Idk if i need to mover everything or anything?? i dont wanna have to move the brake cylinder and clutch cylinder or whatever.. but i cant wrap my head around it.. keep in mind this will be the first time i have ever touched a welder when i do this :) but im tired of payin people to do **** i know i can do if i jus do it.. so thats whats gonna happen

I feel the same way bro. Thats why i am looking into getting a welder. I have alittle knowledge of what im doing with it but money is tight and i know i can do it myself. Well keep riding this truck out bro cause at the end you will have a bad a** toy. Something alot of people wish they had. Me included

man you're not gunna find a how to on body droppin a stout lol.

i think i've only seen 2 bodied so far. but they do look sexy :waytogo:

just remember that the concept of the body drop seems really easy, but there is a metric $hit ton of crap that will come up and have to be addressed, so make sure you read every how to you can before starting :)

    here is some motivation :D

The white one looks like he just droped the bed down to even up with the bottom of the truck instead of adding a piece.
