Well guys, like I said, first crank. I.E. to prime the engine.

    Not in running condition yet.

I wish I knew about the redline oil. Oh well.

This morning I ordered the LC plug wire loom bracket (Sexy!) EGR block off plates and a intake manifold plug kit. Soo whenever that gets here Itll probably run.

I dont know If I sound this wierd in real life or its my camera...

Notice the compression thud thud thud.

    Ok, Read this.

Sooo, Im heading up to Colorado this winter to visit the family for a week or so. I was thinking of flying, but id be out a car and at least 350 bucks...

anyways, sometime around 3 o'clock today I got the idea to put the hybrid back in the truck.... And it runs......And yes, its a nasty Bish!

Before I show the vids, heres the montage (sp?)...

The shop was cleared out this weekend, so got both rides in there.

    Pulled the celica mill

Pic of my trucks 20R just as I started.

    Out with the slow
    [IMG]

Me and Ricky kinda sorta worked out a deal. My 20R for his dub 58. Its a 7m tranny.

I had the right bell, and fork layin around at my house. On A side note, ive run both types of US style W58's. 5M (mk 2 celica supra) and 22R/E early 80s celicas are no floor cutting shifter. This mk3-4 supra shifter was 3 inches farther back. Hello Jigsaw...

Trans getting mounted. I already had a w58 in there (before) and have a L45. Not the same crossmember perch. some hammering and drilling make it an easy swap.

I reallly like the new shifter location. Very good bend in the elbo I guess...

And how the motor sits. Vids will be up as soon as they load.

I didnt change the exhaust at all. Stock twin downpipe header. >2in pipe and a completly quiet muffler. Didnt feel like dropping 150-200 bucks on a new exhaust system for maybe 10-15 hp. Thats not the point of the swap. I wanted to go to Colorado, and have fun doing it.

Wait you were building that hybird for the celica? I thought it was for the truck all along, or you got 2 trucks?

I was building it for the celica. Im taking a trip and just wanted the extra power for my truck, (because I think the celica wont be done before christmas)

So I yanked the motor out of the celica, and put it back into the truck. I got 1 truck and 1 car.

Im really impressed with this sucker. Even going thru LITTLE exhaust and factory manifold, listen to the way it moves...

    First run...

And first trip down the street.
YouTube - 22R hybrids first run w/ headwork.

Sorry for the lousy vid, but it was on my camera. Trust me, it does sound like a buzz saw. :clapping:
