ok so imma get my leaf springs flattened out to lower my rear suspension and I wanted to add a leaf to my spring set to raise the spring rate. I know a lot of guys here removed their midleaf to lower there truck so if you guys are willing to part with it i would appreciate it :D

He put he wanted the pack stiffer before he de arched them. Maybe hes worried about being able to carry weight afterwards or something. Dunno. I dont think dearched leafs would have that problem though.

Well i dont consider that big thick leaf on the bottom a leaf its more of helper if the truck gets too low. but honestly i thought this was how all 2wd trucks came? well at least thats how it was when i bought it?
Ive heard that when you de arc leafs you lose some of the spring rate so to counter that i wanted to add a leaf. cuz i still do sometimes carry lots of random crap and i dont want it to hit my new tires that imma get tomorrow.
Im gonna put that thick leaf on top of the leaf pack to get it to be a lil lower when i get the springs de arcd :D

I think if they dearch it the correct way it shouldnt affect load to much.

    And stock 2wds came with a 3 pack. 4wd with a 4pack. 1 tons with a huge pack.

    Yeah thats one possible theory.

And adding leafs not going get you lower. People normally remove a leaf to get a little lower.

yes but i dont want to lose my spring rate and i still use it as a truck once in a while thats why im gonna get all the leafs de-arced and add a leaf to keep the spring rate. Im gona get about a 2 inch drop in the rear when i get the leafs de-arced.

Oh ok, you put you was using it as a lowering block. Gotcha.

What kinda stuff you going be carrying that you need that much spring rate? I think with good shocks or those helper kind shocks it should help.
