Yeah I think most states are the same except for cali... I dont know why.

But for the most common is 18 to buy a long gun, 21 for pistol, im 21 so doesnt bother me(although I can buy a handgun, and sell it to someone over 18 if im not an FFL, thats in SC). if you want a rifle with a barrel under 16inches you need to pay the tax to the ATF for a SBR(short barrel rifle) liscence. and weird stuff like that for silencers/surpressors, to have a full auto anything you need a class 3 ffl.

Here 50 cals are legal. any rifle without a stock can be a pistol, like you can buy a ak with a 6 or 8inch barrel just has no stock so they sell it as a pistol, I could conceal carry that ak pistol and be fully legal. but its illegal to add stocks or front pistol grips to pistols. Unless you pay the SBR tax and go through the paper work that takes 6months and 200 dollars(and renew it in like the next 3 years). and you need a squeaky clean record.

Its dumb stuff really, my outlook on guns is this, if your going to do something illegal with a gun, why would you register a short barrel rifle, register a silencer, or worrie about any legalitys. I know if I was going to do something with a gun I wouldnt want it in my name haha.

And SC has no gun registry as far as who has what gun, the atf looks at the guns stores/FFL records, then goes to whoever those say, then if you sold the gun to Joe Blow. they go to him and you better have paperwork saying you sold it to him or I guess you could be liable for whatever someone did with that gun.

SC is weird with stuff like that, and cars, its like one of the most lenient states with cars, but impossible to receive a lost title in.

And going back to what someone was saying about a 45... yeah im not looking to kill anyone, I dont want to, I personally would rather shoot someone and they live, thats why I would never carry hollow points, but at the same time I dont want to be killed because of some idiot, but I hope me shooting them or at them they it will scare them away. either way 9mm/9mm +P or .45acp, its going to hurt and both can kill. fmj 9mm will probably just go through them.

    .50AE for the win.

Nice to see other gun owners here. I have a S&W M&P AR15, S&W M&P compact .40 and a S&W 22a. I also have my CCW permit and I live in NY! NY laws are just about as bad as Cali laws when it comes to firearms.

OK, That was pretty badass! :D That was the coolest Glock youtube video I've seen since I saw one a couple years ago of an Israeli special forces guy doing a one handed takedown really quickly and fluidly. I can't find it now but it was similar to this video, just more practiced looking and with more technique.
