So I've got this 1980 4x4, I bought it from my uncle who used it as his backup car for a good 15 years or so. It's been sitting around for a loooong time. I bought it 3 years ago as a daily driver, parked it for two years, and now I'm reviving it as my daily driver. I'm not gonna modify it, customize, trick it, or anything like that. I just wanna keep it running. I was hoping I'd be able to get some input on mechanical things that aren't covered in the manual.

So, I ask again; have I come to the right place?

Okay, got some pics here. It was parked in CA for many years, which is why the body is great and the interior is trash. Apart from that front bumper, the body is mint. There's a couple places in the paint where I can see some bubbling, but nothing major yet.

That looks pretty solid for a Minnesota truck.

oh nobody here, a rather large car club I was in for a few years, which was funny since 4x4s are allowed in the bylaws :looney: Ive said F the clubs anymore, too much drama so I just hang with whoever, seems to be more and more people around here doing the same

oh wow, yes a 4x4 hilux is still a mini lol.

to me the definition of a mini is this, take s10s for example. they are the smaller version of silverados. same goes for toyotas
