I was planning on doing that same thing to my valve cover except all black, looks sweet! Guess I gotta get out the 12mm and something to paint it on... :waytogo:

That Celica's gonna be badass man. One day I'll do the '72 with a 4.3 V6. One day.

Thanks for all the complements guys. Sure helps sometimes...

So in the past couple of days Ive been workin on the driveshaft. Its a 4 piece and the carrier bearing is so-so. Ive gotten the 3 moog u joints, and installed and finished painting the front half of it. A new carrier is like 180 bucks, so if its toast, Ill get a one piece aluminum shaft made.

Today me and Ricky got alot done. Ordered my 20R intake gasket. Will be here tomorrow. Got an air cleaner setup. Bolted down the valve cover, bought a new PCV valve, (I wanted one with an angle so its cleaner) Got the breather filter mounted (HUGE PITA!), Mocked up the intake.

Ignore the gapeing rust hole. Thats getting cut out and replaced.;)

I painted my new slave cyl yesterday, and bolted it on today with the new line I had.

Bled it, and the pedal feels amazing! I just want to flush it again because the fluid we used was partly faded. I had mint stuff at home, but I was too lazy to get it. Tomorrow.

Today I cleaned, painted and installed the

    distributor

    Driveshaft

Added 5.2 Qts of Mobile 1 10W-30 to the engine after I put a new drain plug on. Added the Royal purple to the transmission, but I still need some...

Started on the intake. Had to get a "celica" t-stat housing, (the straight forward one ) Lucky Ricky had one. Started pulling the plugs, VSV's to clean it up a bit. So stay posted.

I thought that intake was the shetty design. Didn't you get a different one from the junk yard?

Thats the 20R intake. The 22R intake is the lousy one.

TRD-I'll have to see. I didnt know it would cause any problems...

Me neither bro! Trust me I thought it was me or the trans when I couldn't get into 2nd at the track. The next day I read a post on customtacos.com that people have had issues with royal purple in the trans. So I switched to what they recommended and redline MT90 is where its at. I can shift into 2nd like butter bro! It might not be the same or might not. I guess you'll find out when you start pounding gears!!! LOL

I think the cast aluminum paint is conductive. My nicely painted starter works fine.

We cranked it over. Had 180 PSI compression with dry cylinders. Sounded throaty...
