when I mean super slow, the build will be super slow and the truck is already super slow... lol.. I dont really have any ideas for it yet, I dont really want to keep it because I would rather have 5 speed or another body style like a 81 or 83 but heres the pics before I do anything to it, I need some ideas, I really dont have any motivation for it right now... I got it off my friend for 500 bucks, he kinda owed me because I worked on it all the time for him... so far when it was his I installed the following parts

timing chain with metal guides
timing cover
water pump
oil pump
high out put alt I think 120v ?
complete new front suspension, center drag link tie rods ball joind pitman and idler arm.
has free lifetime alignment
4 brand new tires
3 aluminum rims and 1 stock, all 14s..
some ricer-jdm-euro-whatever chrome tail lights I sold him a while ago
head gasket also all other gaskets
new front main seal
starter, wipers, and headlights...

so mechanical its sound, does smoke a bit though so I think new valve seals are on the list.. I might even just pull the whole motor and do all new bearings and hone the cylinders and put new piston rings for piece of mind...

anyways heres a few pics of the turd, gunna look into getting 4wd front end and new bedsides since there every damn panel on the truck is dented !

might as well make a list of the "bad" -

stalls in gear sometimes
more dents then there are people on welfare
ricer tail lights
driver window doesnt crank down
has 3 piece rear window that I hate
also doors have window vents that are uglier then all hell.
engine smokes
needs new exhaust
needs new ac compressor
and the seats are ripped up..
the dash is cracked but I have like 5 extra dash boards so im covered..


the fj cruiser is the color I wanted to paint my next truck but I was hoping it was an 81 or 83 with the round head lights, Idk if it will look good on an extra cab 92 or not but Ill give it a shot unless I can come up with something better...

also Im trying to figure out how hard it would be to do a 5 speed swap, and since its already efi, I may even add boost but Im not sure... if not I got a spare ls2 out of a 2008 corvette sitting around, all it needs is a 6 speed to bolt to it : )

come on brothers, I need some opinions on what to do with this, also if you think I should just sell it and get something else let me know what ya think.

I would miss it, but I kind of need to sell it. I have NO money... I used the last of my checking to buy this and my job sucks I get like 20 dollar paychecks...

I can never have too many projects... because it doesnt hurt anything to have extra projects sitting around instead of having to go look for one..

anyways.. I thinking about lifting this truck and putting in on a straight axle with a chevy 350 swap ??? what do you guys think ??? the 4x4 and lift will be done first.. then beat the piss out of it till it blows up and put a 350 or ls2 in it...

 

sounds good to me if you dont want another mini. Or see if someone will trade you for there 4x4 then mob the he11 out of it till it blows. Less work

 

well I drove it to my grandparents house tonight with no tagg.. only 1 mile away...I have no clue what ima do with it... thinking about stripping it piece by piece by piece and re-furbing everysingle part like slacker did.. not sure yet though but since Im strapped for cash I thought that would be kinda fun
