replaced the rears and they wont engage everythings back together like it supposed to be idk wat to do and this is my only vehicle i got and the front brakes arent fun to drive with trust me
well first did you spill any break fluid when youy did the rears, if not they probably dont need to be bled if they were working before the repair. did you adjust them so they were barely dragging on the drums in back? there are those little star adjusters ( the part with the screw and wheel ) adjust those so that there is a tad bit of drag on the drum when you spin it by hand. too tignt and it might lock up while driving, too loose and they wont work ( like what you have now ) good luck
did it get fixed? lol.. and to bleed your drums (or calipers) you need a buddy... CHECK YOUR BRAKE RESERVOIR AND FILL IT UP RECHECK FOR EVERY WHEEL YOU GET BLED. Then refill to max line when your done. step 1. find your bleeder screw step 2. get a buddy to pump the brake pedal step 3. pump brake pedal appx. 5-10 times and tell buddy to hold pedal step 4. open bleeder screw and tell him to let the pedal go down as it squirts. step 5. while your buddy has foot on the floor, close the bleeder screw... *Note: observe what comes out, if it squirts out like air and liquid, repeat steps 3 to 5, if only nice stream of fluid comes out, your done. step 6. do the other drum and follow this "manual" *Note: I suggest doing the adjustment of the shoe dragging a little bit on the drum FIRST, then follow these steps...
when you bleed the rear make sure the drums are on else you will over extend the wheel cylinders and pop out the seals, then you are screwed.
oh i got them workin they werent adjusted yet i adjusted them now i just gotta adjust them a lil more tomorrow but thanks you guys for all the help i really appreciate it
