Ok so if we are gonna do this I will do some leg work and tell everyone the cost. I am thinking GoDaddy.com for the domain and hosting, anyone have any other place they would like me to look at. Also, is it cool with everyone if I head this up?

Alright fellas, I am alomost sure this is what needs to happen but I need to know that we have support. I don't want to waste anyone's time and money by creating another site that will just die down after a couple of months. I have been toying with this same idea for a while. Let me know and I will get the ball rolling!

I mean, it wouldn't be as fair if we had clubhilux, don't get me wrong its a cool name, no doubt but wat about the more newer trucks and the tacos and just think of having dropped, slammed, and bagged tundras on here, that would be so pimp!! anyways, wat do u guys wanna debate on??..

 

hmmm, before we go anywhere we need to decide who needs mod status, we cant just give it to paying people... everyone needs to chip in even if its a dollar... we should have a poll on who would be on our list of mods to choose from, mods need to be willing to put extra money in to keep the site going incase there is lack of paying members....few other ideas but thats just a start.

 

or toyotaminis.org or .info... it would be cheaper to run. and I vote NO to tundras and tacos... there are specific sites to that and even though they would probably bring great info, but also a lot of un-needed traffic.... Ive been on the tundra forums and most of them are as dumb as the guys on dodge 1500 and f150 forums...

 

bleh yea, but still, if the guys bring other things that don't relate to slamming, dragging, bagging, or dropping, then they could just get thee ban hammeR!!!!

but still, i'd like to see mini'd out taco's and tundra's, and i agree with what you say about there own websites, but if you look on the bright side, more traffic means more ad's we could put and we wouldn't have to donate as much in the long run, know where im going with this?

 

I see where your going but were not trying to get rich off ads or traffic, we need to keep this "local" and "personal"... I do think we should ad a 4runner 95 under as well but thats about it... everything else should be kept in the off topic.. maybe even an off topic area dedicated to different cars and trucks.

Well i would love to be a Mod but like a couple of people on here im alittle tight on the money right now. But i do spend alot of time on this site at home and at work. Let s get this thing going or fix this one either way its all good to me. Im kinda for the tacos but not tundras. But either way were all toyota lovers.

If I'm a mod, I'd probably be making stickies and organizing how to threads.
On the other hand, I'll probably just contribute to making sure everything is smooth in here, take the fights outside and leave the fun inside the forum. Pretty much to maintain a respectable honest environment.

 

Alright guys, I believe we should get things started, see who comes on over and then we can decide who will mod. If I start the site up which I think I will unless someone else objects, I will pretty much be active on a daily basis and will answer anyone's questions about the site. I will start taking donations in the form of pay-pal once things get finalized. I am thinking about godaddy as the host unless someone has a better place, the way it looks is about 12.00 for the domain and about 100.00 for the first year unless you guys wanna go month by month. That includes a forum called "yetanotherforum" but I have a "copy" of vBulletin. The registered version is 145.00. Tell me what every one thinks.
