    Should have kept... '88 4x4 22RE
Well, it's official, I hate my Saturn guys, and I'm saving up to get a first gen 4Runner later. Is the 3VZ good enough of an engine in reliability or should I go for another 22R/22RE equipped xN6x chassis? Reason I ask is because I heard a second gen today with a MagnaFlow that sounded beyond awesome and I'm somewhat power-hungry with my cars.

Boy!! what can you say about the 3vz, there a great engine if you don't mind horrible fuel mileage, being a turd for power, the possibility of a rod spitting out the side of the block for no apparent reason, or a head gasket taking a dump at any given time, other than that they suck.:D

Someone else posted about how you could get better studs to address the headgastet issue and then use a stand alone syster like megasquirt to manage the engine and the engine comes alive. I never personally tried it. Or know anyone that did, but it sounds kinda expensive.
