    removing crossmember will help ALOT.
I couldn't get mine off, so i took off the steering linkages and unbolted the motor mounts. adds another few hours....

    so just do the crossmember.

get a nice 6pt socket, 1/2"drive breaker bar, another pipe to extend it, and just break her loose.

    sidenote: that pulley looks interesting

    Help asap..WEBER TUNING

ok so im posting this here, but at some time i think it would be good to have its own section..

    info.. 1977 2wd, 20r, weber 38.

Well its on and everythings hooked up correctly. Today i finnally got it to run like a tractor lol like the insrtuctions say. This is the farthest ive got in awhile. Then it says to turn in the mixture screws untill it dies or runs worse.. well i did this and it didnt run worse or die, just kept runnin like a tractor. Whats up with this? I got the base line settings all right. if u need anymore info let me know. thanks

lol yours has the 4 holes, mine has two, and you can "see through" yours, mine is just a flat surface.

nah i wouldnt say up and down, its more like a chug:ROFL:, lol idk like a tractor...

Instructions say..."Start engine, the engine will run very slowly more like a tractor. As long as the engine stays runnin the idle speed is not important at this point." then it says to ajust idle mixture screws like i said above, but it didnt do change the way it ran..

Check if any of the plugs are fouled... Timing set to 8* without vacuum advance. If there are no vacuum leaks you should be able to tune it using the base settings in the instructions.

    anyone

so i think i was adjusting the wrong screw for the idle stop/speed. This is the one closest to the linkage correct? If so i was adjusting the one you can see from the front, by the choke....:brickknock: How should i resolve this? Im thinkin its my prolblem but idk anymore...

K guys i got a problem with my truck. Died out on the freeway. Wont start now. Cranks but wont turn over. Got gas and spark. Recently plugged vaccum lines and in trying to start it the caps blew off. You think it could be that? Any other suggestions?

hey, I'm wondering which bed bolt and bushing goes where. of the 8 main bed bolts, 4 have this thick rubber bushing, the other 4 don't. and they also have this 1-2mm thick rubber square shim. which goes where?
