Drove the truck to work today!

 

Found out its gonna cost $1200 to replace the engine in the 94 Ext cab I just bought last week. What a freakin buzz kill gotta drop another G into something I already have G's in Used dealerships for the WIN.

Sunday I replaced the speedo cable in my 91 and installed new plugs and wires.

 

today i found my magic exhaust leak...

i had gone through the exhaust like 4 times trying to find where my leak was...only happend some times and i only really noticed it when i was on the freeway.

Well one of my super cool EGR block off plates i made somehow loosened its self up, and i swear i checked that bugger like 4 times...so i cranked the bolts down TIGHT...lets see it leak now muwahahahha

 

what went pop? its pretty friggin hard to waste one of these engines to the point you need a full motor replacement

 

Took it on freeway and shifted her into 4th and heard a rod slap then pop up and smack head so yah it scared inside of cylinder sleeve, broke rod, cracked piston and damaged head and valves or something to that extent so with all parts bought, machining, gaskets, renting tools I dont have and my time it was worth it to me to just buy a long block and have it all replaced. Sucks cause this was gonna be my daily while I tore my lowrida apart this winter but now Im out a few bucks so no working on the mini now.

 

went to adjust the valves, got the valve cover off and realized i better not touch anything till i know for damn sure what im doing. so i put it back together without messing with anything and now it wont freaking idle, also wont start without me giving it gas

 

Well, it looked good for $2k.

 

was tinkering around checking vacuum lines since i cant pass emissions. pulled off the egr valve, there was a bunk of crud in it.

also i noticed it looks like im missing something can anyone tell me what goes here? its right above starter pic for reference

 

well Ive been working on trying to make money and havent touched my truck for a while now but I am going to hopefully pick this up for 200 bucks or less this weekend only problem is that there is no title....

not sure If I wanna keep the 4x4 a 4x4 or put it on the 2wd frame in the first ad since the shell is a lot cleaner.. but well seee... gotta figure out how ill do that with no title... maybe just swap the dash and put a motor in the 2wd one lol...

2 hours? holy hell i draw the line at like 30 minutes, and if nothing more is happening by then i get bored.

 

make out for over 30 mins is plain crazy... I was supossed to do the deed today but my sister came over crying about her room mate bailing on her... so none for me today.. but I was promised to get it every day for the rest of the week : ) Im gunna be busy this week hahaha
