Tacoma bumper swap

    Alright so Im new and also Im ADHD so Im sure if I took time to look I could find the info Im about to ask but Im not that patient.

    Who has done a tacoma bumper swap to there 89-95 truck/hilux and how did you do it cause I want to kit mine kinda and found a sick 95 Tacoma bodykit I know I can make the sides work and not even gonna use the rear but the front is my concern so whos got info.

    Nobody??!! Ok does anyone have an Idea what the difficulty factor would be to mod a tacoma bumper onto an early 90's truck???

    Search for a thread named "my 89" in this forum he did a taco bumper swap and it looks sweet. You basically have to fab some very simple brackets.

    its acutally really easy im just going to make some spacers for them the bolt holes are a little shorter apart so were just going to get some steel and make some spacers and extend them a little and drill the holes i test fitted one with wood as my spacers its actually going to be real easy

    So, do you have to change anything besides the brackets??? I still have the 2wd set up on my truck :brickknock:

    You using a 95-01 bumper from a Tacoma. Like I said previously Im actually looking to use a bodykit bumper instead but either way fitment is fitment it was for a 95 Tacoma. So I know molding is easy since its polyurethane but the lining at the top and such and curvature around the headlights and fenders was my main concern. But your saying it looked legit when you dry fit it huh??? Cool man thanks

    yeah i have an 01 bumper if you look at my thread i test fitted it and love how it looks

    Im pretty good at imagining things so if thats the way the corners line up then Im legit with what I want to do very nice build thread as well tons of work and awesome ideas
