i got a buddy that wants to sell me his 70 lux.. its in great condition, got the OG hubcaps and everything... what would you guys offer for it... i think he's asking too much

no pics yet...he says he drives it from escondito to san diego ( about 30 miles )
and do we really care about mileage of a 40 year old truck?

he says its all cherry, ive never even seen him drive it so either he's messing with me and its a total roach or he really does baby it... im going to see it on saturday, ill get pics then. So what do you guys think sign unseen that i should offer him.

From Escondido to San Diego huh? Im pretty much all over Escondido and Ive seen every hilux in Escondido. Whats it look like? Ive seen two great looking hiluxs in Escondido. One is orange original clean and a yellow one clean original too.

 

i dont know...lol didnt ask color wise. hes asking 2k...which i told him is waaay too much. at most i'd pay 1.5k

 

Start low (1200) and hope to land somwhere in the area you are willing to pay.....worst he can say is no. Of course you could get there and it could be a heap.

 

yeah they go for around 1200 running around here too. if it's real clean i could see paying 1500

 

im gonna make him drive it to me....if it cant make it then im definitly not buying it...hehehe evil

 

damn not that I have the money but it would at least be nice to see one for sale around here.. Ive NEVER seen anything older then 81 or 83 for sale here.

 

they aren't very common here. honestly i never seen them around here until shonuff posted his on the site, and i got mine. then they started popping up here. maybe 1 a month tops.

 

i might buy it fix it and sell it on here... i dont really need a second truck and could use the $$$ for the stout
