I have one of those.. 460RWHP..... just not in my truck . My car is setup for the HP and it can still be a handful.. I can't imagine even the stock 315HP LS1 in my truck...
1uzfe I say LOL at a lot of you guys.....ls1? c'mon keep toyota in the same family motor dont mix and match.....A friend of mine already did it and I am doing t myself as well im not some expert actually im just 21 and I did the wiring and mounts.....so feasibility....(EZ) I plan on supercharging it. (btw there is so much room under the hood and the 1uz is actually lighter and stronger than the 1jz) and this is going to be a mini not an off-roader this is going to be my fun track road-race truck and dd
I find it great how we can all love our yotas in different ways I "LOL" at all the purists on here with keep it Toyota But we all want to do a motor swap for the same reason More power! So..... If I'm going to spend the time and money it takes to do a swap I'm going to do one I can get the same handling out of the truck (ie no heavy steel block 6's or 8's) And get the most power potential and still have plenty of room to expand or build up the power after I do the swap Toyota big horses are totally possible but rarely cheap I'm sorry but the power and parts available for a GM LSX motor IMHO far outweighs anything I can build Toyota How is it a yota guy can swap any other brand part into his truck and nobody flinches? All kinds of weird seats and wheels axles even beds... But the minute you take another brand motor Your a Toyota traitor...??? So I'm a Toyota lover and a traitor Best of luck to all us motor swap guys yota or not! I'll keep on my LSX swap You go for that yota swap!!! It's great getting to see any kind of mod so like I said Good luck to all willing to be a real hot rodder... And cut one up Anyone can build a hotrod! But it takes a real man to cut one up! Built! Not bought!
gawdammit i'm waiting for a Ferrari V8 or Viper V10 donation. you guys and your silly LSx and xUZ's and yadda yadda! j/k but a FV8 or VV10 would be sick, maybe a FerrariV12 bwuahahaha
to the people who say eff the ls motor, you have no idea what your talking about.. just put a ls2 slightly built in my friends 96 impalla...that heavy 4 door sucker GETS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!
my 350 chevy came out of a 71 camaro that can lift the front tires... and its only 5 wires to start another 20 wires tops and I'm legal down the highway with guages... Can't F'n stand wiring myself and a lot less to go wrong w/o all the extra sensors. also a carb is way easier to convert to e-85 than any efi engine.
