1978 Longbed with a baseball sized hole in the block. Missing front panels and windshield. All the other glass is there. Interior is okay, but some of the wiring is hacked to pieces. Dude had speaker wires to a toggle switch for the headlights. The bed is great compared to what I have in my blue pickup. It has a G082 rear end and a W50 transmission.

There will be more. I'll probably part out most of this truck after I take what I want. Then I'll scrap it, or put in a cheap-o engine just to take it out on a trail with SB88 and we'll break the $h1t out of it!

need a measurement of the wheelbase, looking for a 77-8 frame with a 104in

think i need a short bed frame, but a long bed might work with new rear mounts.

I'll have to measure it for you...

I'll try and get a good picture of the block. I have to remove the exhaust manifold to get there for a picture.

I am still 'up in the air' on the plans for this one. I know my blue truck pretty well, but it has rust issues that I don't see in this one. I want to get one really good looking running one. If I could get two, that would be great, but the misses is pushing for me to get one done and get rid of the other to get back some of what was spent and to fund any more fun stuff for the eventual runner.

The only thing that really scares me about adopting this truck is the wiring hack job under the dash. I could probably use my wiring harness for it, so we'll see.

I have no idea what those wheels are. They are fifteens. I think I am going to put them on Craigslist and sell them locally (maybe these alone will get me what I put out for the truck and gas money).

no bumper yoter. but ive always got my eyes peeled :D

its a solid truck, but with a blown motor, hacked wiring, and some of the harder to find parts missing (windshield and grille) its more of a parts truck. i still vote to keep the bed and trans. Theres plenty of parts on it that are usable.

and sho, are you going to reframe the stout? hilux frame would be cool. i think they had 102" and 110" wheelbases though depending on bed layout. the 74 and back cab/frame combo i dont know specs on

ya think it will be easier to mount the 1uz in the frame, do bags, then mount the body.

stout frame kinda sucks, well no... it does suck. not fully boxed, integrated front x mem, ect. want a 77/8 frame

edit: thats what i would call a "basket case" not worth the time n effort to put back together, better to let its husk help other trucks be better

Yeah, I'm pretty decided that I will keep the blue truck and use this to supplement it. What I won't be using I'll sell. Now I just need some time to get started.

Things I know I'm keeping: bed, head and other engine components, transmission/clutch/flywheel/crossmember, and misc. interior pieces.

I found out yesterday it has a center seat belt. I thought that was pretty neat, but I don't think I'll be putting a bench seat in my pickup, though.

Sho, if/when you do a 1UZ in the stout on a late hilux frame I wanna help. I have a few ideas. I was looking at doing a new rolling frame for my yota too and runnin a 1UZ. I drove a 3UZ sequoia yesterday and it had some pep in that big ass truck. So a 1U should be plenty in a hilux.

i think the hilux frame is too narrow up front personally.. the oil pan on a 1uz is 16.5" wide!!! lol
